Scenario: Destiny Unfolds
Difficulty: -1*
Spirits of the primordial deeps - too removed from the land to help directly in the conflict - have led you through a crucible of fate, where you both discover and create the potentials within yourself for growing greater. May it be enough.

THIS SCENARIO IS NOTABLY HARDER

  • ...for groups of Spirits that want the same Power Cards (e.g., due to having overlapping Elements).

* This Scenario is intended for 2 or more people, each playing 1 Spirit.
  • The Difficulty of this Scenario varies (usually between 0 and -2) based on familiarity with all Spirits being played, familiarity with the Scenario, and the cards drawn for the initial card pool.
  • Some players can use this Scenario while others don't; its effects are entirely confined to the participating Spirits.
RULE CHANGES
Destinies of Power
Each Spirit has a Destiny (a supply of drafted Power Cards). When a Spirit would gain a Power Card from a deck, instead they gain a Power Card of their choice from their Destiny (following restriction son the type of card gained.) If this is not possible, gain from a deck as normal.

TWO-PLAYER VARIANT
Choose which Spirit will act first. Then for each round:
  1. Deal each Spirit a private hand of 6 Power Cards for that round based on the table entry for that round.
  2. Each Spirit splits their Power Cards into three face-down piles of 2 cards each. Once all six piles are ready, flip them all face-up.
  3. The first Spirit puts two piles into their Destiny, then the second Spirit puts two piles into their Destiny.
  4. In order, each Spirit may take a third pile. Discard the unpicked Power Cards to the Minor/Major discard piles.
Repeat steps #1-4 for the second round, but with the other Spirit picking first. Each Spirit must take a third pile in exactly one of the two rounds.
SETUP CHANGES
Before the initial Explore, each Spirit drafts Power Cards into their Destiny, in two rounds, following the table below. No communication is allowed during a round, but discussion before each round is fine.
  1. Deal each Spirit a private hand of 6 Power Cards for that round (see table below).
  2. Each Spirit picks 1 Power Card and puts it in their Destiny face-down. When all Spirits have picked a Power Card, each Spirit passes their remaining Power Cards to the Spirit in the pass direction for that round.
  3. Repeat #2 until each Spirit has picked 5 Power Cards.
  4. Spirits reveal the cards in their Destiny. Discard the unpicked Power Cards to the Minor/Major discard piles.

Repeat steps #1-4 for the second round.

ROUND MINOR POWERS MAJOR POWERS PASS DIRECTION
1 4 2 Left
2 5 1 Right
